Lovely Saoirse Ronan is still promoting The Lovely Bones which, after a pushed back release, hasn’t been performing too badly. Obviously not the awards bait it was predicted to be last summer after critical annihilation but with a revamped marketing strategy focusing on teen girls, Bones isn’t a complete bust financially, and sometimes that’s all that matters. They announced earlier today that they are expecting and tonight James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff arrived together at the UK premiere of The Last Station totally blissed out and beautiful even though I’m not sure about his hair. The Hurt Locker has managed to stay in the game. Because it’s so great. Even though it was released so long ago, The Hurt Locker is a top awards contender, there’s no doubt that the film will receive a nod for Best Picture and Katherine Bigelow could be the first female director to win a Best Director Oscar. Arriving at Letterman today likely to promote Creation about Charles Darwin. Connelly plays Darwin’s wife and her real life husband Paul Bettany as the man himself. The film opens January 22nd. I always forget she won an Oscar. Because theirs is a low key life. They stay off the scene, they work hard, they don’t famewhore unnecessarily, and they try to keep their sh-t private. Full Story
I met Jeff Bridges a few months ago in Toronto during TIFF. He showed up at the Men Who Stare at Goats afterparty and I remember posting on my Twitter right away that he`s a sexy beast. Kinda.Youth In Revolt opens this Friday. And while I know Michael Cera can be tedious and annoying, the Michael Cera who shows up in Youth in Revolt is more than bearable.
